REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Mimimum 3.0 overall GPA required
  • Must be geographically mobile upon program completion
  • No experience required.
  • Prior co-op experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to lead complex projects or teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through presentations and written documents.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

  • Gain knowledge and an understanding of the plants primary entry-level management positions.
  • Attain a well-rounded knowledge base for better decision making.
  • Acquire basic leadership competencies for entry-level positions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Shadow a Continuous Improvement Specialist, Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Industrial Engineer and Area Manager within the business center and perform hands-on learning activities as directed.
  • Learn problem solving and continuous improvement methods relative to that portion of the business center.
  • Write reports to demonstrate knowledge of the plants manufacturing processes, the roles and responsibilities of the support functions, and technical knowledge of equipment and processes in a specific area.
  • Perform a challenge assignment in each of the designated positions.
  • Complete designated management and leadership courses for entry-level managers.
