JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is required to be on site full time and requires up to 75% travel, often with little notice.

This leader will focus on the SW reflash activities supporting various GM sites. This role involves cross functional work overseeing the entire re-flash process including coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and logistics teams to meet shipping deadlines and targets. The manager must possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to optimize operations to achieve on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years Manufacturing-related experience
  • 5+ years Vehicle electrical systems manufacturing processes and repair experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, in relation to translating complex technical issues to non-technical people and Senior Leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate others and achieve results by setting clear goals and objectives, measuring performance, and providing guidance and direction

Responsibilities:

  • Be a leader of the Global Electrical Support Team (GEST) – an integrated, technical organization consisting of members of various backgrounds across Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, Product Development, and IT organizations focusing on electrical manufacturing performance in order to inspire customer confidence in GM’s vehicles
  • 75% travel, often with little notice
