Marine Accountant

Odfjell Tankers is a complete chartering, operations and marine services organization, providing our customers with dedicated services in all major shipping hubs throughout the world.
To support Chartering and Operations in each geographical Trade group, we are seeking motivated colleagues who will focus on accounting, re-billing and transactional tasks.
The positions are located at Headquarters in Bergen and will report directly to the VP for the actual Trade group.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant education at university/business school level or maritime education
• Positive attitude and solution oriented
• Structured with an eye for details
• Business proficiency in English (written and spoken)

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience from the Shipping industry
• Interest in using technology in daily work
• Experience from accounting

• Support the Trade Groups in production of freight invoices
• Assist operators in handling of Disbursement Accounts
• Split and distribute Disbursement Accounts to relevant stakeholders, such as voyage cost, owners cost and costs for reimbursement with charterers
• Keep contact with Time Charter Owners / Managers regarding Owners Cost presenting and handling
• Re-bill charterers and follow up payments
• Support the Trade groups in issuing Contracts of Affreightment, fixtures and time charter parties
