MARINE FIT OUT ENGINEER

We now require a full-time, fully-qualified and experienced Marine Fit Out Engineer. Could that

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Performing services and winterisation to inboard diesel engines
- Fitting all general mechanical marine systems
- Servicing electrical, heating, ventilation, refrigeration, water and sewage systems
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Installing engines or systems from detailed drawings and schematics
- Evaluating the operation of marine equipment during acceptance trials and shakedown
cruises
- Conferring with manager and design personnel in order to clarify or resolve problems,
and to develop or modify designs
- Overseeing testing, installation, commissioning and/or diagnostics, and the repair of
marine apparatus and equipment
- Preparing technical reports for use by engineering, management or sales personnel
- Maintaining records of engineering department activities, including details of
equipment maintenance and repairs
- Diagnosing and fault finding on warranty and refit projects.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Good working knowledge and experience of working with marine electrical and
electronic systems
- Experience of inboard/outboard diesel engines
- Ability to work with 12V DC, 24V DC and 240V AC systems
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work in a clean and productive manner
- Willingness to undertake additional tasks outside of these requirements for the benefit
of the Company and its operations.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Knowledge of NMEA 2000 Network equipment would be useful.
