JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine NavCom Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in the installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of a wide range of marine navigation and communication systems, including but not limited to MARINE RADAR systems, chartplotters, ECDIS, AIS, VDR, VHF radios, MF/HF SSB, autopilots, and maritime IT equipment. Additionally, knowledge in IT/networking and VSAT systems is essential for this role. A General Operator’s Certificate (GOC) is recommended. The candidate should also possess a general understanding of marine electrical and electronics systems. Flexibility and a willingness to travel are required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, and service various marine navigation and communication systems including MARINE RADAR systems, chartplotters, ECDIS, AIS, VDR, VHF radios, MF/HF SSB, autopilots, maritime IT equipment, and VSAT systems.
Conduct regular maintenance checks and inspections on installed systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure the continuous operation of onboard systems.
Provide technical support and guidance to onboard crew members regarding the operation and maintenance of navigation and communication systems.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate installations, upgrades, and repairs as needed.
Keep abreast of industry developments, regulations, and technological advancements in marine navigation and communication systems.
Document all service activities, including installation procedures, troubleshooting steps, and solutions provided, accurately and comprehensively.
