Essential

  • A 2:2 BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering,
  • Eligibility to work and live in the UK,
  • Ideally hold a full UK drivers’ licence.
  • CSCS Card -managers and professionals.

Desirable

  • Professional accreditation or working towards professional accreditation.

Experience

Essential

  • Marine Operation Planning.
  • Nearshore / Offshore Works experience.
  • Technical and Engineering management experience.

Desirable

  • UK Project Experience
  • DCO and MMO License applications and implementation.
  • Development of Work Specifications.
  • Development of Programme and Schedule.
  • Familiarity with the Construction and Design Management (CDM) regulations [2015].

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The SZC construction programme has a technical and commercial business case predicated
on technical replication of Hinkley Point C. EDF will be an important supplier of nuclear
capability for the SZC Programme from its established nuclear business footprint in the UK.
Key stakeholders are the UK Government, relevant Government departments and agencies
including Treasury BEIS, EDF, Financial investors and institutions, Regulators, Alliance
partners and local communities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting with site investigations and overall implementation of projects,
  • Ensuring systems, design information, procedures and quality systems are

adhered to,

  • Develop DCO and MMO license supporting documents,
  • Development of construction methods and undertaking of constructability

reviews

  • Support the procurement of supply chain, materials and plant,
  • Assisting with the development of potential supplier work specifications
  • Assisting in adjudication of supplier deliverables and proposals
  • Assessing the potential risks of specific projects,
  • Produce Risk Assessments and Method statement documents,
  • Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues, subcontractors,

contracting engineers, consultants, co-workers, and clients,

  • Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve design and methodology

challenges,

  • Quality assurance, ensuring the project requirements are clearly understood

and that quality control mechanisms are in place that provide assurance that

the asset and/or service delivers as designed/required,

  • Support the project delivery team, providing technical support,
  • Contribute to the accurate and efficient provision of daily site records and

productivity reports weekly and monthly to the scheme.

  • Understand and utilise the appropriate digital tools to support the project,
  • Ensure relentless focus on Zero Harm,
  • Will be responsible for managing and supporting any marine / site engineer

reporting to them.
Work Location
Primary work location will be at the Sizewell C central London Office with visits as necessary
to Bristol – Avonmouth Docks and Suffolk – Sizewell Z work site.
