The role of the Market Access manager is to negotiate terms and conditions for new and existing portfolio with different stakeholders in Norway and to be an important part of our commercial team.
Main deliverables cover mainly, but not limited to, assess market opportunities for new product Introductions (NPI) and the launch of these, reviewing prices to wholesalers and calculate alternative scenarios given new market conditions. Maintain and optimize existing core business and take action when needed. The market Access manager will, based on market analysis, propose forecasts and budgets, and follow up with required actions, meetings, and discussions with wholesalers throughout the year.
The market access manager will also negotiate terms and conditions as well as activities for full product portfolio.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Analyze relevant markets for products in focus to evaluate potential, competition, threats and opportunities.
  • Prepare sales budgets, forecasts and analysis as required according to given standards, templates and deadlines.
  • Based on market analysis, plan and implement new and revised agreements, continuously measure impact and follow up with required actions and adjustments throughout the year.
  • Build strong relations with key stakeholders. Wholesalers, procurement departments, officials in government offices.
  • Lead work with Wholesalers and ensure strong connections and relations.
  • Negotiate terms, agreements and prices with external stakeholders.
  • Assess future product launches in alignment with the NPI team and the Sub-Cluster Commercial team.
  • Through market intelligence seek opportunities and take actions against threats.
  • Actively participate in the European Market access team and contribute with local business intelligence.
  • Complete all assigned trainings in due time.
  • Follow instructions in all relevant SOPs, with particular focus on reporting of AE.
  • Commitment to ongoing development and staying updated with industry trends, new regulations, and advancements in the pharmaceutical sector in Norway.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • A master’s degree in life sciences (e.g., biology, pharmacy, medicine) OR health economics, public health, business administration.
  • Industry Experience: 2-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry in Norway, particularly in market access, health economics, or a related area, Strong skills as negotiator.
  • Background as product group manager, BU lead, Sales lead or similar in order to know market trends and dynamics.
  • Min 3 years of experience as a negotiator within public and private business.
  • Regulatory Knowledge Familiar with the Norwegian healthcare system, reimbursement processes, and regulatory environment.
  • Experience in managing projects and working cross-functionally with various departments in-country and across markets.
  • Proficiency in English and Norwegian.
