Job Title: Market Intelligence Analyst
Salary: From £36,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid - flexibility to work from home or at any of our main hubs (London, Bristol, Manchester and Milton Park, Oxfordshire)

About the role:
You will support the Principal Market Intelligence Analyst to deliver a market intelligence service that informs development of three licensing portfolios: research, learning, teaching and assessment, and corporate information systems. You will conduct market research and wider intelligence gathering using a range of primary and secondary techniques to explore market trends and validate opportunities. You will extract knowledge and insights from data to deliver actionable research and strategic guidance. Working collaboratively, you will ensure that Jisc Licensing has access to the right data and analysis to drive development of a user-focused product portfolio at pace in an evolving market landscape.

Responsibilities will include:

  • conducting primary and secondary research, collating data from multiple sources, and undertaking analysis to identify, monitor and forecast market trends and new opportunities.
  • transforming complex market data into actionable insights and recommendations, to drive decision making and deliver customer centric outcomes.
  • working with colleagues across the licensing team to capture requirements, and design and conduct market research projects to inform Licensing portfolio strategy and development.
  • embracing Jisc’s product lifecycle management approach to explore problems, ideate solutions and inform the strategic development of product solutions, including opportunities for growth, optimisation or sunsetting

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in a market intelligence, market research, or competitive analysis role.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of market research methodologies and techniques, and in using market research databases, products, tools and analytical software.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt communications to different audiences and present complex findings in a clear and actionable way.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, including proficiency in conducting primary and secondary research, expertise in data collection, analysis, and presentation tools and techniques.
