Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Market Systems Technical Specialist is primarily responsible for the day-to-day technical support activities and management of the Market Systems (billing and metering) applications across the CKI group of electrical distribution companies of Powercor, CitiPower & United Energy.
Key to this role is meeting our market obligations, ensuring 24x7 operations, analysing problems and finding solutions, and delivering enhancements as required by business and functional stakeholders.
TO SUCCEED IN THE ROLE, YOU’LL HAVE:
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or related discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or business-related discipline).
- Demonstrated experience working in a multi-sourced environment.
- Understanding of an application server health check and management, covering Windows Server, Unix (Solaris, RHEL)
- Exposure to common tools and services in Windows Server, such as Powershell, IIS, .NET
- Fluent with Oracle database programming
- ServiceNow experience for ITSM/Ops preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in an Energy and Utilities business highly regarded.
