Description:
The Marketing & Communications Manager will play an integral role in collaborating, developing and delivering marketing strategies and brand storytelling to communicate with Corix’s B2B and B2C customers, employees, and the broader public. This individual will build strong relationships across the organization to drive initiatives forward and ensure messaging is consistent with Corix’s corporate brand, plans, and objectives.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop, edit, and contribute to a wide range of written and visual content, including external and internal communications, brochures, speeches, social media posts, business proposals, event collateral, briefing notes, and presentations. This may include appropriate research to understand the subject matter better or create more practical materials.
- Provide graphic design services for the production of marketing material.
- Collaborate with internal groups and stakeholders to develop and execute marketing and communications plans, including developing key messaging in line with brand voice.
- Assist with the coordination and implementation of media relations, press releases, community engagement and public relations events.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of five years of experience in marketing and communications or related field.
- Degree or diploma in communications, marketing, business administration, public relations, or related field preferred.
- Experience in or knowledge of the energy sector is desirable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to write in a consistent style for a range of audiences to translate technical concepts into interesting and engaging content.
- Detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills with high proficiency in MS Office suite and Adobe Creative suite.
- Considerable knowledge of the processes of graphic design, photography, video production, print and web production, social media channels (LinkedIn) and websites (Wordpress).
- Ability to research, write, and edit a variety of materials related to the work and to communicate effectively orally and in writing through various media to internal and external audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop content for marketing strategies and initiatives for social media, community outreach, customer appreciation, external website and internal communication channels.
- Strategy Development and Planning: Support the development of the marketing & communication strategy and organize the content calendar to ensure consistent and impactful messaging throughout the year.
- Research and Analytics: Leverage research and data analytics to optimize SEO web algorithms, scan external market conditions, and identify marketing opportunities that align with business goals.
- Brand Consistency and Quality Assurance: Work to ensure all marketing and communications collateral adheres to brand guidelines and meets the highest standards of quality.
- Collaboration and Internal Communications Support: Works collaboratively with the team and supports the internal communications function as needed, including preparing internal communications, and updating and maintaining the intranet.
- Event Coordination: Plan, coordinate, execute and attend marketing, community or business development-related events, as required.
- Performs other related duties as required.
