Description:

Position Summary: This position will serve as a vital member of the Director of University Marketing’s leadership team. The Project Manager provides leadership in planning, managing, and executing projects related to marketing campaigns. The Project Manager is responsible for moving strategies/tactics into reality by identifying all the tasks and timetables that need to be completed within a marketing campaign or action plan, thoughtfully delegating tasks to appropriate team members, and ensuring the successful completion of milestones and deadlines. Additionally, the role includes keeping clients apprised of work progress and facilitating adjustments to project charters and scope of work agreements.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

This position is a full-time salary position. The Project Manager is expected to collaborate closely with the institution’s marketing, admission, alumni, and advancement engagement teams. The Project Manager reports to the Director of University Marketing. The nature of responsibilities makes working in-person and on location with other team members necessary.WORK SCHEDULE

The Office of Marketing is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Summer hours may vary. Office hours are subject to change as deemed necessary. Occasional work on Saturdays, Sundays, and evenings will be required.TRAVELSome travel will be required.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee.   • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree and PMI certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in marketing and communication operations, demonstrating a proven track record of delivering impactful marketing campaigns.
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to lead collaborative teams to effectively execute marketing and communications strategies.
  • Exhibit strong critical thinking skills, adept at prioritizing tasks based on project size, scope, and timeline, while adeptly managing multiple responsibilities and adapting to shifting priorities to ensure project success.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management theory and best practices, coupled with a deep understanding of both print and digital communication production.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal communication, fostering positive relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Proficient in utilizing project management support software, including Office365 Suite,
  • Willingness to acquire additional technical skillsets to meet the needs of new and expanding strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Director of University Marketing and internal and external clients to manage the intake, scoping, charting, budgeting, and execution of marketing and creative services projects.
  • Identify and monitor key performance indicators and dashboards for project management effectiveness, ensuring that methods are grounded in best practices.
  • Track project performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to ensure methods align with best practices.
  • Manage day-to-day activities for marketing projects, including monitoring workflows, maintaining weekly status updates, and overseeing the Office of University Marketing’s work calendar (Gantt charts, social media content calendar, production calendars, and enrollment marketing deliverables).
  • Assign and manage project activities between internal resources and external vendors, considering project needs and allocated budgets.
  • Develop and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding proofing, approval processes, and project status.

  • Oversee end-to-end project invoicing processes, ensuring timely generation, complete documentation, and prompt payment, collaborating with accounting for daily closeouts and maintaining financial integrity.
