The Marketing & Sales Strategy Manager position reports the Senior Manager, Marketing and Sales Strategy, Disney Cruise Line.
The Marketing & Sales Strategy Manager is responsible for contributing to the development of marketing strategies informed by data, business performance, and consumer insights to deliver business goals. In this role, you will provide business direction and marketing plans for Disney Cruise Line to partners in the Sales organization to grow contribution from Travel Trade channels. Performing the role with excellence includes working with multi-disciplinary partners across the full marketing mix, developing and enriching go-to-market strategies, partnering with team members at all levels within Disney Experiences, and demonstrating business savvy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Proven critical thinking skills, foundational to developing strategies and strategic planning
  • Experience in project management and driving ideas into action with attention to detail
  • Skilled at understanding performance metrics to assess & optimize programs
  • Skilled at building effective partner relationships and influencing peer partners/leaders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and outstanding professionalism
  • 5+ years experience, ideally in Marketing or Sales Strategy, Brand Management, Marketing Communications or Advertising Account Management

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • MBA or strong business experience and background

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the liaison to the Domestic and International Sales teams, providing business objectives, areas of focus and key strategies that will drive performance
  • Evaluate business results across channels and partners with Sales leaders to improve contributions
  • Ensure that the Trade is fully equipped to represent the brand by providing timely communications on new and revised product information (itineraries, policies, process changes, new products and other relevant business updates), training and familiarization opportunities for travel agents
  • Create strategic input for the internal agency to inform the development of marketing campaigns, tactics, tools and segment-wide portfolio initiatives for travel trade use
  • Manage suite of digital trade marketing tools, sales collateral and training tools. Plus, responsible for ensuring brand standards are met and business priorities are upheld in any trade marketing
  • Support cohorts with Disney Destinations portfolio trade media campaign needs including creating strategic inputs for internal agency and evaluating results to improve impact
  • Develop and present DCL business and marketing strategy content for Sales conferences, meetings, and training for internal and external partners
  • Support participation in training events and programs throughout the year and ensure optimal execution of these programs
  • Work with Sales Strategy, and Domestic and International Sales partners to help build Disney Cruise Line expansion plans including distribution approach
