Join the leading designer of complex buildings, specialising in sustainable engineering design. We are seeking a dynamic and talented Marketing Assistant to join our team and contribute to brand-building activities while playing a crucial role in leading various marketing workstreams.
Following a successful period of rebranding, team restructuring and the introduction of a new website, the Marketing Assistant role will involve campaign coordination, event planning, social media & email communications, press & PR content, basic graphic design, and website copywriting & maintenance.
This position offers excellent scope for progression and is an ideal opportunity for the selected candidate to work on their own initiative, supported by a small team of specialists and wider business, while contributing significantly to the success of our evolving marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and own a social media communications strategy, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement with followers across various platforms.
  • Act as lead coordinator of social media communications, working closely with internal subject matter experts to drive timescales and develop key topics and content.
  • Take ownership of assigned workstreams within the marketing department, leading projects from conception to execution with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to brand-building activities by producing effective and engaging written content for various marketing channels, including website, social media, and email.
  • Analyse the success and conversion of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for impact and optimisation.
  • Implementing SEO keyword recommendations for website and social content (via external agency), ensuring accuracy, relevance, and consistency with brand guidelines and best practice.
  • Longer-term, utilise CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) to manage customer data, create targeted email campaigns, track engagement metrics, and generate reports.
  • Contribute to researching, preparing, and submitting award nominations and creating client documentation, ensuring adherence to entry criteria and style guidelines, respectively.
  • Play an active role in reporting key marketing initiatives upstream and to wider colleagues as part of quarterly town halls and performance updates.
  • Graphic design capabilities would be beneficial, although this role will work closely with, and sit below, a Creative Lead who will oversee brand visuals.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing or communications role, preferably in B2B and/or a related industry.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to produce high-quality content while adhering to brand voice guidelines.
  • Proficiency in using key social media platforms for B2B communications, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, plus Hootsuite/Meta Business Suite or similar scheduling tools.
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative in driving projects forward.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, track key performance indicators, and measure the success of marketing initiatives.
