SUMMARY: Achev is looking to hire an enthusiastic and dedicated Marketing Assistant - Summer Student for 8 weeks, to assist with the execution of our integrated marketing plan. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Assistant Summer Student will help develop and maintain the Achev website, support the execution of digital and traditional marketing campaigns, manage Achev’s social media channels and paid ads platforms, support ongoing e-mail marketing efforts assist with other marketing tasks and liaise with internal Achev departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be between ages 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Be Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and must be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
- Have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year & intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year. Preference given to students studying in related field.
- Experience working in a marketing outreach, public relations or related role
- Possess solid administrative skills and have demonstrated ability to use MS office products, web browsers & social media Facebook/LinkedIn/Twitter/YouTube. Experience using the WordPress.
- Strong graphic design skills with the ability to use Canva, Photoshop or Illustrator for designing marketing materials such as email newsletters, social media posts/ads, flyers, banners, etc.
- Video editing skills with the ability to use Adobe Premiere Pro, Promo Video Maker to create promotional videos for social media posting
- Experience with Mailchimp or Constant Contact an asset.
- Strong team player and experience working with diverse cultural groups
- Ability to multi-task and enjoy a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:
- Update website content and create new program pages and landing pages
- Produce creative and persuasive advertising and marketing materials
- Create, schedule and monitor social media posts with social media scheduling tools
- Design eye-catching print and digital marketing materials that adhere to brand guidelines
- Assist with the execution of digital marketing campaigns and ads to drive brand awareness
- Research and develop online marketing and social media strategies including SEO
- Create impactful marketing videos for social media posting
- Prepare marketing analytics reports on campaign statistics and trends
- Support other marketing initiatives as required
