Responsibilities:

WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE ROLE?

At our Head Office based in downtown Vancouver BC, The Marketing Associate – Product Innovation supports the Marketing Manager - Product Innovation by contributing to the development and execution of product innovation strategies. You will assist in market research, ideation, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that new products align with market needs and business goals. Your analytical and creative skills will be crucial in identifying opportunities for innovation and supporting the launch of successful products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Let’s get into the detail. This role will:

Innovation Support:

  • Assist in developing and refining product innovation strategies that align with market trends and consumer insights.
  • Support the breakdown of the product innovation process into actionable tasks, including identifying market opportunities, preparing concept briefs, conducting business vetting, and label briefings.

Market Research Assistance:

  • Conduct market research using various methodologies, such as SPIN reports, consumer behavior analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Analyze research data to identify market gaps and innovation opportunities, providing insights to guide the product development process.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with R&D, sales, CX, and go-to-market teams to ensure that product innovations are consumer-centric, cost-effective, competitive, and aligned with business strategies and sustainability goals.
  • Participate in ideation sessions, prototype development, and consumer testing phases to ensure that projects meet their success criteria and are launched on time and within budget.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Assist in preparing updates on innovation projects, strategic recommendations, and project statuses for senior leadership.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication across the organization to maintain alignment on innovation initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the Marketing Manager - Product Innovation in various tasks as needed to drive the success of product innovation initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to continuously contribute fresh ideas and insights.

    Other related duties as assigned from time to time.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in market research and product development is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
