Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing & Communications Adviser to join our team in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. Reporting to the Head of Business Development & Marketing and working closely with the wider BD&M team, this role will develop and implement a range of marketing and communications content and activities with a focus on digital, including Insights and alerts, website, digital marketing campaigns, and direct client communications, that are consistent with our visual identity and increase visibility of the brand.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advising and collaborating with stakeholders to produce a range of high quality content and assets including direct client communications, client collateral, digital marketing content, social media posts, insights and thought leadership, advertising and surveys to suit different audiences and channels.
  • Leading digital marketing strategies and campaigns to improve brand awareness, increase website traffic, and generate leads, and reporting on performance.
  • Analysing and optimising SEO/SEM to continuously improve performance and enhance the firm’s overall digital presence.
  • Managing the firm website, including functionality, development and brand, and work closely with the BD&M team to ensure up-to-date content.
  • Collaborating with various teams to deliver on campaign tactics for integrated marketing campaigns to support strategic objectives and growth priorities, and enhance the brand.
  • Coordinating the production of engaging, targeted video and podcast content by writing scripts, planning and recording shoots and coordinating editing and publication.
  • Develop initiatives to expand digital content reach and readership.
  • Act as a custodian of the firm’s visual identity (internal and external applications) consistent with brand guidelines.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have strong written communication with the ability to synthesise technical concepts into plain, client-centric language. This role is suited to a self-motivated and enthusiastic candidate with an organised approach and the confidence to deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

  • 4+ years’ experience in similar roles in either law / professional services or agency with a focus on B2B marketing
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, PR or a related field
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and channels in a B2B environment, including SEO, SEM, Google Ads, social media, email marketing (such as Vuture) and website CMS (such as Craft)
  • Experience with the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and an aptitude for graphic design would be advantageous
  • Extensive content experience across written, video and podcast content
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to make (sometimes complex) content engaging and accessible to a wide variety of audiences
  • Understanding of integrated marketing and campaign management techniques and how to leverage these techniques for measurable results
  • Continuous awareness of digital trends and a creative and experimentation mindset to drive, test, learn, and optimise campaigns and activities
  • Familiarity with a CRM database would be advantageous
  • Commercial awareness and ability to develop client focused content
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while displaying strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude toward work and a desire to learn and develop the role
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
