Description:

Marketing & Communications Executive
As Marketing & Communications Executive, you will help develop and manage the implementation of the annual marketing and communications strategies across Hilton Sydney.

Specific focus to be applied to:

  • Tactical marketing activities across all areas of the hotel, to generate short term revenue
  • Strategic marketing activity across all areas of the hotel, to profitably position the hotel for the long term
  • Increase profile, share of voice and reputation value for Hilton Sydney among targeted media and content creators

Planning and Organising

  • Contribute to marketing and communications plans
  • Ensure hotel has up-to-date positioning statements and descriptions to support its communications priorities, and that they are shared with management and team members as appropriate
  • Support Marketing & Communications Manager in key monthly presentations
  • Office administration tasks as requested

Supplier Selection & Management

  • Maintain a day-to-day relationship with approved creative agencies and printing suppliers and ensure all printing of collateral and distribution requirements are fulfilled

Food & Beverage Marketing

  • Lead F&B marketing promotions and activities, and create promotional strategies to support positioning
  • Support management in reviewing menu content and design, as needed
  • Support the implementation of the annual calendar of activities for each outlet

Digital Marketing

  • Proactively updating marketing content on all brand websites (all copy, imagery and promotions) to ensure product / service accuracy, effective positioning and optimised conversion
  • Take responsibility for updating content on all third-party websites
  • Social media support: take ownership of social media account/s, including copyrighting and planning and content creation via in-house resources or external photographers / content creators
  • Create and send email marketing as required
  • Monitor any e-commerce activities of competitor hotels

Sales Support

  • Implement best-in-class collateral to support Proactive Sales and Catering & Event teams
  • Support in implementation of Catering & Event showcases annually

Tactical Promotions

  • Ensure campaigns and promotional activities are implemented effectively and on time
  • Coordinate all aspects of the design and placement of print and digital collateral, ensuring it is brand-compliant
  • Maintain records of all design and any campaign results as required

Sponsorships & Partnerships

  • Support Marketing & Communications Manager in taking full advantage of any locally-secured sponsorships/partnerships and their execution

Communications & PR

  • Implement tactical PR campaigns at a local level where appropriate, with agency support
  • Assist in external and internal communications as required

Photography

  • Ensure all hotel photography, video and virtual content are up to date; positioning the hotel and its venues as desired

Quality

  • Know and champion Hilton brand guidelines and ensure all hotel touch points and merchandising opportunities are maintained with current information and collateral
  • Ensure any back of house collateral relevant to marketing, is brand compliant and accurate
