Responsibilities:

YOUR PURPOSE & IMPACT:

As the Communications Manager you will lead localization efforts, build community, and drive brand awareness in the German market. As the local Market Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for crafting and implementing brand marketing, PR, and consumer marketing initiatives that drive sales in the market.
Based in Estrid’s Berlin office and reporting into the Head of Brand Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in merging creativity with operational efficiency to elevate the Estrid brand in DACH, with a strong focus on Germany.

SOME OF THE THINGS YOU’LL DO:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Brand Marketing to adapt global campaigns, content and messaging.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Global and local German/DACH market plans.
  • Drive adaptation of Global offering (campaigns, content, messaging) into local plans and execution. Identify opportunities to create relevant content and experiences/campaigns to engage further with the targeted audience.
  • Support the global team in ideation, strategy, and execution of campaigns across hero franchises, big bets and always-on activations, inclusive of influencer engagement, partnerships and eventing for the German/DACH market.
  • Ensure synergies and efficiencies between earned and paid media activations to further amplify the brand and our key messaging.
  • In partnership with local market PR agency, plan and execute events, product launches, and activations to engage consumers and generate buzz around the brand.
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Lead the development and implementation of local brand creative ideas and campaigns, working with Estrid’s Head of Brand Marketing, to develop best in class content for Germany that augments global storytelling.
  • Copy edit and approve all German-language brand copy, translated from English to German by Estrid’s translations agency, to capture brand tone of voice, including website posts, social media descriptions, product descriptions and promo material.
  • Partner with the Head of Brand Marketing and the Head of Paid Media to develop and deploy the German and Austrian 360 Consumer Engagement Strategy for all new product launches and brand campaigns.
  • Consult on the localization of the global media strategy for all channels including traditional media, media partnerships, digital & social media.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and partners to secure press coverage and endorsements.
  • Work with local PR agency to oversee PR/Influencer teams to drive YOY growth when it comes to EMV, whilst ensuring brand equity coverage is secured when it comes to traditional editorial coverage.
  • Work with the Global PR Manager to track and report on key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of PR and marketing initiatives.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES IMPORTANT FOR THIS ROLE:

  • 5+ years of experience in PR and marketing, preferably in the beauty or personal care industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the German market, consumer preferences, and media landscape.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a track record of successful PR and marketing campaigns.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and insights to drive decision-making.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Personal interest in diversity and inclusivity.
  • Fluency in German and English is required.
