Job Description
Are you a dynamic and pragmatic Marketing Content Specialist with a proven track record in B2B software content marketing? Are you obsessed with understanding your customer base to create compelling content? Join Xplor Recreation, where your expertise will drive our content strategy, elevate our brand, and help parks and recreation professionals empower their community members.
As our Marketing Content Specialist, you’ll team up with your marketing colleagues and cross-functional teams to own the story of Xplor Recreation and produce compelling content for our various channels. Your role will involve close collaboration with product, marketing, sales, and other key stakeholders to craft impactful messaging that establishes Xplor Recreation’s voice in the industry.
This is a hybrid position working from our Burnaby office and reports directly to the VP of Marketing.

3+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in a SaaS or B2B environment.

  • Proven track record of creating high-quality content that drives engagement and achieves business goals.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation tools.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and a strategic mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with diverse teams.
  • Strong customer-centric mindset with the ability to understand and address customer needs and challenges.
  • Knowledge of the parks and recreation industry is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive content marketing strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and leads.
  • Create high-quality, engaging, and informative content including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, eBooks, webinars, social media posts, and email campaigns.
  • Conduct in-depth research on industry-related topics to produce authoritative and relevant content.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing, sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure content aligns with business goals and audience needs.
  • Understand our customers’ needs, challenges, and preferences to create content that resonates with them and adds value.
  • Optimize content for SEO to increase organic search visibility and drive website traffic.
  • Manage and maintain the content calendar to ensure timely delivery of all content projects.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to refine strategies and improve results.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in content marketing and the parks and recreation industry.
  • The average base salary pay range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000CAD
  • Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus
