Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Walt Disney Company Canada has a Toronto-based Marketing group as part of the Studio segment in Disney Canada. This opportunity will involve establishing a heightened marketing and brand presence for the Studios’ roster of content, including Disney+ and theatrical releases, from the Disney family of brands. We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator who can help to support the overall marketing campaigns and plans in Canada for Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios and Star titles in Canada, while collaborating effectively with U.S. based functional groups.
Responsibilities:
- Secure and traffic all media creative for all mediums (broadcast, print, out of home, digital)
- Assist in development of media planning and agency direction
- Build strong relationships with key media partners (agency and digital)
- Support the execution of all aspects of the day-to-day experiential marketing activations
- Coordinate French Canadian translation process (with Quebec agency)
- Liaise with U.S. functional teams for marketing initiatives
- Coordinate shipping and inventory of marketing materials
- Support senior media marketing team members as needed
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years Canadian marketing experience
- Experience in media advertising, specifically placement/trafficking
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both local and remote stakeholders
- Strong abilities to multi-task and embrace new marketing projects and challenges
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Strong computer efficiencies in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- A love of film, entertainment & pop culture in general
- Experience within the film or streaming industries is an asset (volunteer, intern or other)
Education:
- Undergraduate degree, certificate or diploma in Marketing
