About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and detail-orientated Marketing Coordinator, to support the M4D Marketing team on their cross-programme and cross-channel deliverables. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a daily schedule of content across a variety of channels and provide a range support on events and ad hoc projects, simultaneously across multiple platforms, with challenging and dynamic deadlines.
The M4D Marketing Coordinator role is central to the team. It not only supports the management and delivery of team-wide channel marketing but also provides direct content contribution and support for specific outputs, along with consistent, centralised and uniform communication and collation and management of event participation and promotion.
This role reports to the M4D Marketing Director, while supporting and operating alongside the cross-team Marketing Manager. The role offers many opportunities for professional growth, including the experience of being immersed in the international development sector and contributing to all of our programmes and projects. You will also become familiar with multiple marketing techniques, approaches, tools and platforms, which will help build your experience in the profession.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Own the daily scheduling, posting and management of all social media content across all M4D programmes, using Hootsuite and the native platforms
  • Support the cross-M4D Marketing Manager with the creation, co-ordination, and delivery of promotional materials prior to, during and after MWC and M360 events, across social media, email and web.
  • Support the cross-M4D Marketing Manager in delivering and maintaining new processes and guidelines that will ensure consistency, and contribute to increasing efficiency and performance of the M4D Marketing team
  • Proofread and publish content on M4D and events websites
  • Create visual assets to promote external outputs
  • Collect and collate content from all programmes for M4D outputs (e.g email newsletters) as well central channels (e.g central social media team)
  • Extract analytics and other engagement metrics from web, social and email platforms, track and report regularly on the performance of specific deliverables
  • Capture and share meeting notes with actions, where relevant
  • Edit and upload video content
  • Provide support where needed on the creation and maintenance of external-facing collateral including reports, videos, presentations, infographics, imagery, printed material and web content

About you

  • You have excellent English language and writing skills with a strong command of grammar
  • You possess strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines simultaneously
  • You are collaborative and collegiate, with strong co-ordination and interpersonal skills
  • You possess a great attention to detail
  • You have an interest in marketing
  • You maintain a broad understanding of using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X and LinkedIn
  • You demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, in fast-moving environments
  • You are responsible and accountable, with a focus on delivering to commitments and timelines
  • You are a team player, who is also intellectually self-motivated and eager to learn
  • You show a creative approach to projects, tasks and problem-solving, combined with a wish to constantly learn and improve
  • You may already have experience with content management systems, such as WordPress, and familiarity with Salesforce and Google Analytics, which would be beneficial but not essential
  • You might have the ability to design graphics for use on social media, websites and in email, experience using Adobe Photoshop is advantageous
  • You may have experience working with suppliers and agencies to deliver high-quality marketing outputs that include video content, PowerPoint presentations, infographics and documents
