Description:

About NRG:
NRG is a leading global insights and strategy firm at the confluence of content, culture, and technology. We stay ahead of what’s next, providing fresh insights to spark new ideas. We’re a trusted partner to our clients, working behind the scenes to bring imagination, depth, and clarity to their biggest challenges—in entertainment, technology, lifestyle, sports, and gaming. Together, we create with confidence.

We’re proud of our company’s values – these values guide us as we navigate sunny days, gray skies and everything in between:

  • Do what you love. With conviction.
  • Where discovery lives. And impact drives.
  • Celebrate difference. Cultivate belonging.
  • Big thinking. Collectively inspired.
  • Embrace the journey. Be human.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative entry-level Marketing Coordinator to join our Global Marketing team. As a Marketing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing our marketing strategies, ensuring all content is prepared and published across various platforms, and maintaining seamless communication with our design team. If you are highly organised, detail oriented, passionate about marketing and have a flair for content creation, this opportunity is for you!

Your Impact:

  • Content and Design Management: Lead the preparation and posting of content on platforms such as Contentful, Mailchimp, and LinkedIn. Manage the creation and iteration of designed assets by effectively liaising with the design team and submitting design requests.
  • Technical Coordination and Troubleshooting: Handle website and newsletter delivery issues by working closely with our web development and IT teams, ensuring a smooth experience for our audience.
  • Strategic Planning: Take charge of the content calendar using tools like Asana to organize thought leadership projects, significant firm-wide projects, and note upcoming cultural moments and industry events that are crucial for our brand’s presence.
  • Editorial Excellence: Ensure the highest quality of thought leadership pieces through meticulous proofreading and copy-editing. Draft a wide range of written materials tailored to various platforms, showcasing your versatile writing skills.
  • Innovative Collaboration: Actively contribute to brainstorming sessions, pitching creative ideas that align with our marketing goals and help in overcoming our clients’ most significant challenges.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for Marketing: A genuine enthusiasm for content creation, design collaboration, and the ability to stay ahead of industry trends. Your interest in the evolving digital landscape drives you to continuously learn and grow.
  • Client-centric Approach: An ability to understand our brand’s goals and align your tasks to ensure we deliver on our promises. You’re ready to provide strategic input and foster strong relationships both within the team and with external partners.
  • Leadership Qualities: Even at an entry-level, your potential for mentorship and guiding junior members or interns is clear. You inspire those around you with your dedication and work ethic.
  • Data and Analysis Skills: Comfortable with data, you can discern trends and insights, appreciating both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of marketing.
  • Communication and Storytelling: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to craft compelling stories from data and insights, and confidently share them within the team and in broader settings.
  • Curiosity and Critical Thinking: A mindset geared towards continuous learning, always seeking to understand the “why” behind consumer behavior and marketing trends.
  • Self-starter: Motivated to take initiative, tackle challenges head-on, and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Organisational Mastery: Comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Keen eye for detail – You notice when font sizes change unexpectedly or a proper noun isn’t capitalised. Errors don’t get past you and you are always focused on ensuring high levels of quality control.
  • Great Team Member: Team player who works collaboratively and harmoniously within a team and across teams. You are comfortable forming connections with colleagues remotely. You welcome feedback because you have a zest for learning and growing. You will roll up your sleeves to help get the job done and no task is beneath you.
  • Your degree(s) – You have a 3 year BA/BSc with a strong academic record. A degree in marketing, communications or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Prior Experience – Prior internship or work experience in marketing or communications is a plus, but not required. If you don’t have prior work experience, we would love to hear about any relevant academic or personal experience.
