We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator to join our Whai Rawa team, in a full-time position. Whai Rawa is a medium-long term investment programme set up by Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu in 2006 to improve the wellbeing of Ngāi Tahu whānau by providing a vehicle for distributions to all whānau, encouraging investment for home ownership, education and retirement. Whai Rawa aims to be a ‘best of class’ savings vehicle for Ngāi Tahu whānau while growing financial capability.
With a demonstrated experience in marketing and communications you will execute our marketing and communications initiatives to encourage participation and understanding of Whai Rawa, upholding the branding and reaching our audience through our social media, email marketing and web content management channels.

In this role you will also:

  • Maintain Whai Rawa articles, website, social media channels and direct email communications.
  • Provide support with implementation of marketing and communications strategies designed to raise and protect the profile of Whai Rawa.
  • Liaise with Whai Rawa personnel and internal Te Rūnanga communications team, ensuring they are kept updated across all Whai Rawa kaupapa.
  • Provide administration support to the Whai Rawa team and manage the Due Diligence Committee approvals for all communications

    What we’re looking for:

  • A can-do attitude with a willingness to do a variety of duties, the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks of high importance along with great time management skills

  • A good understanding of Project Management
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite especially InDesign, Microsoft Excel, Word and Office
  • Experience using web-based content administration and management systems, social media and email marketing platforms. Experience in Adobe Marketo is a bonus
  • A knowledge of the financial sector, specifically investment schemes would be an added advantage
  • Familiarity with the Treaty of Waitangi and its application to the work of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu
  • A passion to work with Ngāi Tahu whānau, hapū and iwi
  • Strong awareness of and affinity for the needs and aspirations of Ngāi Tahu whānau
  • Demonstrated openness to learning and embracing a bi-cultural environment and moderating practices to suit
