Marketing & Events Specialist - Community Relations Dept.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for marketing and event planning support for all Community Relations programs, including the Business & Innovation Center, Custom Fit, Dual Enrollment, and Short-Term Training. Duties include creating and scheduling ongoing marketing campaigns
for department programs, creating graphical and video promotional content, and helping to organize and promote department events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform at a proficient level and to be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have:
1. Education: Associate’s degree and/or Bachelor’s degree or currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar area.

1. Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

• Experience with social media marketing including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
• Experience planning and executing marketing campaigns and events.
• Experience with graphic design and video production/editing.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable

1. Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in marketing, graphic design, photography/videography, or other related industry experience.
2. Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check.

• Works with department colleagues to develop marketing campaigns
• Maintains and monitors the department’s social media accounts including posting, and responding to comments, etc.
• Creates marketing content for the department’s various programs
• Helps plan, market, and execute department events
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
