We are working with an exciting start-up within the mining industry who have gained huge success across Australia and are about to embark on global growth with sites already in the US and Europe. They specialise in the research & design, manufacture, and distribution of technical and engineered products for heavy mobile equipment and fixed plant, that minimise maintenance and downtime for critical mining equipment. Due to a successful period of growth they are now looking for a Marketing & External Affairs Manager to be based in Brisbane with hybrid working.
This Marketing & External Affairs Manager will report directly to the VP Global Sales & Marketing and play a pivotal role in shaping the brand, driving revenue growth, and enhancing their market position. There will be multifaceted responsibilities to include global marketing, sales enablement, collateral development, and external stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for both brand building and advocacy.

Key functions for this Marketing & External Affairs Manager include:

  • Developing and executing a global marketing strategy that establishes our brand as well-known, recognizable, and trusted.
  • Driving brand resonance by crafting compelling narratives and consistent messaging.
  • Collaborating with sales teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
  • Leveraging multiple channels (website, social media, trade shows, email, events, advertising) to connect with the global market and customers.
  • Creating engaging marketing collateral that clearly communicates the value of our product solutions.
  • Developing product documentation, case studies, whitepapers, and presentations.
  • Creating engaging product training documentation and resources.
  • Engaging with governments, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and unions.
  • Influencing policies and regulations to improve the businesses competitive advantage.
  • Managing external affairs related communications including with media and government agencies

Essential requirements are:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience of marketing leadership.
  • Background in B2B sales.
  • Industry knowledge with prior experience dealing with government agencies, unions, industry associations and industry associations.
  • Experience of working in a start-up environment and/or be adaptable to change.
