Rovio is seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing Lead to spearhead the launch of an exciting new SEGA game.
The Marketing Lead will drive the development of games’ marketing plan and oversee its execution, ensuring a successful and cohesive campaign. You will be part of a multi-talented growth marketing team driving marketing execution for SEGA titles. You will support the team to develop the games marketing strategy and drive the execution working with the wider Rovio and SEGA teams.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Proven experience in leading successful marketing launches for video games, with a strong portfolio of previous campaigns
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and ensure timely delivery
  • Experience working with licensors, ensuring all marketing activities are on-brand and approved on schedule
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming industry, particularly mobile and social games.

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU ALSO HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

  • Previous experience working with high-profile IPs and global franchises
  • Familiarity with SEGA titles and its fanbase
  • Experience in coordinating marketing efforts for simultaneous multimedia launches (e.g., game and movie releases)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute the Robust Launch Marketing Strategy:
  • With the team, create a comprehensive marketing plan tailored to the new Sonic mobile game, aligning with the simultaneous theatrical release.
  • Ensure all marketing activities are cohesive, on-brand, and effectively target the intended audience.
  • Project Management:
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of the marketing plan, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any bottlenecks promptly.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional marketing team members, including Product Marketing, User Acquisition, Community, Influencer Marketing, UX Research, Creative Production, and PR, to ensure all efforts are aligned and integrated.
  • Licenser Coordination:
  • Work closely with SEGA’s licensing teams in California to ensure all marketing materials and activities are approved and on-brand.
  • Navigate and resolve any approval bottlenecks efficiently.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all marketing-related activities, ensuring clear and effective communication among all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to drive a unified marketing approach.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting:
  • With the support of other key members of the team, monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing regular updates and actionable insights to senior management.
  • Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights to optimize campaign effectiveness.
