The Ecolab Life Science Division is seeking a Portfolio and Product manager to lead a strategical portfolio including the recently acquired Bioquell equipment portfolio. This Manager will lead the strategies and execution to drive significant growth (double digit %) on $50M+ of this product portfolio. This individual’s primary focus will center upon sales growth and profitability of product lines through strategic planning and portfolio management. This role will contribute to the development and execution of product portfolio strategies in close collaboration with internal partners including Field Sales, Corporate Accounts, Segment Marketing, Finance, RD&E and Supply Chain.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of professional experience or MBA in Marketing with 3 years of experience
- Fluent English speaker
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Business-to-business marketing experience; preference in Life Science industries
- Scientific degree or experience of working in Life Science industries
- Experience in successfully marketing and selling complex, high-value capital equipment within the Life Science Industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in leveraging an array of promotional strategies including direct marketing, social media campaigns, account-based marketing, and other digital and traditional marketing channels to drive sales and brand awareness
- Ability to relate to influential people and complex organizational structures; strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills; setting vision and strategy, planning, critical thinking, orchestrating cross-functionally, overseeing multiple project elements and proven track record of results
- Effective oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, good attention to detail and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment are essential
- Must have demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks

Responsibilities:
- Develop & Execute marketing strategies, customer value propositions, promotional programs and pricing which will meet sales and profit objectives for the portfolio in the short and long-term.
- Manage the innovation project lifecycle, utilizing a phase-gate process, to shepherd initiatives from concept ideation through commercialization. Responsible for ensuring seamless coordination across cross-functional teams, aligning with business objectives, and driving successful market introduction of new products or technologies.
- Monitor product portfolio health and assessment of current portfolio/service offerings against key customer requirements and competitive offerings
- Working in conjunction with communication leader on content for product marketing campaigns
- Partner with Sales to drive differentiated programs that lead to new business gains, growth within existing accounts and retention of top accounts
- Develop short and long-term strategies and plans for demand generation, on-going market research, customer needs assessment, and customer and sales history analysis
- Work closely with the segment marketing and portfolio teams on development of new product/ program/service offerings aligned with business and marketing segment strategies
- Provide Ecolab sales force with leadership and marketing support, including sales tools, training content and competitive intelligence
- Develop in-depth customer and market knowledge. Communicate market needs and opportunities.
- Stay current on market standards, trends and practices and understand impact on Ecolab product line and business.
