Description:

An exceptional opportunity awaits a Marketing Manager to assume a pivotal role at Holland America Line (HAL) on a full time maximum 9-month contract, with potential extension to cover parental leave. Based in our Chatswood Sydney office and reporting directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing, you will spearhead efforts to enhance demand and brand perception for Holland America Line, leading to increased Net Ticket Revenue (NTR) and guest acquisition from the Australian & New Zealand market. Your responsibilities will encompass executing a comprehensive marketing strategy, coupled with providing supervision, feedback, and leadership to the local and US-based HAL teams, along with the CAU brand marketing teams.

Responsibilities:

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Oversee the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing and PR strategy for Holland America Line in the Australian and New Zealand market whilst providing direction, guidance, and leadership to the local and US based HAL teams.

  • Manage conception, development, and implementation of the marketing plan and strategies to enhance brand awareness, consideration and stimulate demand in the market. Including:
  • Above the Line Comms
  • Below the Line Comms
  • Promotions
  • Internal Comms
  • Creative, communication and media briefs to external partners
  • Responsible for managing and executing all marketing communications aspects.
  • Taking charge of the marketing function to ensure proper positioning of the Holland America brand and the effectiveness of retail campaigns in design, execution, and performance.
  • Offering support and guidance to the Key Account, Sales Operations and Trade Engagement teams.
  • Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key contacts on the HAL commercial team in North America.
  • Evolving, implementing, and evaluating the success of a comprehensive marketing strategy to enhance Holland America Line’s image and market position in relevant target markets.
  • Assisting in PR efforts to maintain consistent messaging and maximise PR opportunities.
  • Managing relationships with media and creative agencies, adjusting involvement as necessary.
  • Ensuring a unified brand voice in the market across various touchpoints.
  • Management of the annual marketing budget including forecasting.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Marketing Management.
  • Preference for robust category-specific experience and mandatory travel experience.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership qualities and a collaborative, team-oriented work approach.
  • Proficiency in utilising various marketing tools encompassing above-the-line, below-the-line, and digital communications (Ie, Adobe Analytics).
  • Capability to interpret and present performance metrics and campaign outcomes to derive actionable insights.
  • Profound business management skills, including financial acumen (forecasting and budgeting), marketing expertise, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in cultivating and maintaining robust relationships, coupled with effective negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication proficiencies of critical thinking, analytical skills, and high-level project management competencies to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
