Your Role

The Marketing Manager EMEA drives the regional implementation of the ZEISS Research and Microscopy Solutions (RMS) marketing communications strategy and tactics. For their assigned region, they execute the go-to-market strategies for new product/ solution launches and support the local Sales organizations in the area of marketing by driving commercial initiatives based on company strategy as well as deep customer and market understanding. They partner local marketing managers, supporting with guidance and capability build as well as ensuring a friction free information flow from HQ to the region and markets. The goal is to create effective and efficient online and offline marketing initiatives along the customer journey that are enabling EMEA markets to convert to sales and ensure sustainable growth and commercial success. Main tasks

  • Drive the localization and implementation of the tactics derived from the MarCom strategy & plan across all sectors, within budget targets and with a keen focus on digital initiatives
  • Spearhead the ideation and exploration of market specific commercial initiatives securing conversion together with local Marketing Managers and Sales teams
  • Support the regional and local Sales organization with their MarComs needs
  • Manage the regional marketing budget to achieve ambitious goals enabling commercial success
  • Partners HQ stakeholders by contributing regional insights during new product/ services launch processes as well as annual budget and marketing planning
  • Drive the overall project management and foster successful collaboration of cross-functional teams in the execution of the selected tactics
  • Collaborate across functions, mainly with EMEA Events Manager, EMEA Digital Marketing Manager, as well as HQ & local marketing teams, Sales and Sectors
  • Monitor and support pipeline development and marketing customer database, as well as campaign success. Champion a data-driven decision making process
  • Build deep knowledge on success factors for campaigns and champion insight and information share across teams and markets to build capability across stakeholders

Your Profile

  • Understanding of customer journeys, coupled with a proven customer focus
  • Experience in applying standard marketing tools and skills, such as segmentation, ideation, customer journeys, market research, insight generation, campaign creation (briefing to execution), etc.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing digital campaigns (SoMe, SEA), experience with Marketing Automation (Marketo) a plus
  • Deep understanding of analysis and performance measurement of marketing initiatives
  • Strong project management skills
  • Result-driven approach with a pragmatic mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills enabling the incumbent to interact across different levels of the hierarchy, functions and cultures
  • Ability to work effectively and with discipline in an international environment with virtual teams
  • Fluent English skills (both written and verbal), German and additional languages a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or business studies, alternatively vocational training if combined with proven relevant work experience (product marketing, branding, performance marketing, digital marketing)
  • The position may require local as well as occasional international travel
