Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Cantaloupe, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and proactive Marketing Event Manager. This role is integral to the planning, coordination, and execution of all event-related activities, ensuring seamless delivery and maximum impact. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to foster relationships with partners and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in event planning and management.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial tracking.
  • Ability to travel as required for events.

Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Coordination:

  • Assist in the development and execution of the annual event calendar.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage logistics for trade shows, customer conferences, and partner events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure event objectives are met.

On-Site Event Management:

  • Oversee on-site event setup, execution, and breakdown for shows/events that require a marketing representative to attend and support.
  • Coordinate with vendors, venues, and stakeholders to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Manage event staff and volunteers as needed.

Partner and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with the Sr. Director to support partner events and sponsorship activations.
  • Coordinate with partners to secure sponsorship and participation in events, ensuring alignment with overall marketing and partnership strategies.
  • Facilitate communication between partners to ensure partnership deliverables are met and integrated seamlessly into events.
  • Foster relationships with partners to maximize event success.

Marketing and Communication:

  • Assist in developing event marketing materials and communications.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all event-related content.
  • Promote events through various channels to drive attendance and engagement.
  • Collaborate with other marketing team members to ensure cross-channel execution for events pre, during and post-event.

Budget Management:

  • Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Track expenses and provide regular budget updates to the Sr. Director.

Post-Event Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze event feedback and performance metrics – including lead generation, opportunities and ROI.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for future events.
  • Prepare post-event reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities and projects may be assigned as needed to support evolving business objectives and strategic goals.
