PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail for managing multiple programs, campaigns, and special projects to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple marketing and communications campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
  • Inspiring team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in a marketing or communications administrative capacity and supporting various departmental campaigns.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English; proficiency in other languages desirable.
  • Experience in the coffee, beverage, or foodservice industries a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred or equivalent job experience.
  • Proficiency using MS Office suite and Adobe Creative Suite design software.
  • Some travel required for events, meetings and conferences.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop strategic marketing and communication plans, as well as execute and schedule all tactical campaign elements including but not limited to social media campaigns, email marketing pieces, press releases, website updates, advertising, app support, brand elements, copywriting and sponsorship related deliverables.
  • Managing press and media relations and executing major announcements to multiple stakeholder groups across the global coffee industry.
  • Works closely with center heads and staff leads throughout the Association to develop materials and strategies to improve sales and mindshare.
  • Coordinates with agencies and contractors when applicable, and ensures the collaboration is effective and to the best interest for the SCA.
  • Analyze campaign success and recommend new strategies to improve future marketing planning to meet the Association’s needs.
  • Stay informed about emerging marketing platforms and evolving strategies.
  • Effectively orchestrates work across internal teams, external partners, and creative teams to meet deadlines and sales targets.
  • Promote and assist in carrying out the Association’s purpose and strategic plan in a manner consistent with the Association’s stated values.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, ensuring department files and documents are always well organized and accessible.

As the Marketing Manager, your role is pivotal in building awareness and appeal for SCA’s core activities and purpose. You’ll be spearheading various tasks, including:

  • Building and executing marketing campaigns to effectively communicate SCA’s message.
  • Collaborating with a diverse team of stakeholders to understand target audiences.
  • Ensuring consistent brand application and messaging.
  • Continuously assessing campaign effectiveness to meet goals.
  • Managing press and media relations and orchestrating major announcements
