Responsibilities:

PURPOSE

The Marketing Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day creative operations of the marketing and visual merchandising departments, including campaign asset management, and orchestrating the entire creative workflow, from initial brief to final execution and delivery. A key focus of the role is the creation and maintenance of detailed project plans and schedules using monday.com, ensuring inter-departmental clarity on key deliverables and deadlines, in accordance with the critical path, across all print and digital outputs.
Reporting into Head of Marketing and focused holistically in support of all teams in delivering world class campaigns, this role is the conduit between the creative, marketing, VM, and digital teams, along with key stakeholders (mainly product design), to organise and manage key meetings, deadlines, resources, and workloads on each project.
This role is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of delivering all customer-facing communications. It involves proactively planning resource allocation for campaigns and marketing projects. Developing efficient processes and scaling workflow outputs across all channels and departments are crucial for ensuring that teams can consistently meet business objectives and maintain effective day-to-day operations.
This role requires a highly organised individual who can develop complex critical paths, manage multiple projects and stakeholders across multiple business functions, both internal and external, and deliver on Country Road’s brand objectives through all physical & online channels as well as retail and community partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect all relevant information for all incoming projects across creative, marketing, VM, digital and assign tasks to relevant graphics team member
  • Track the project’s progress, making sure it’s completed on time and costs recorded on budget tracker
  • Manage the creative WIP, process documentation and planning calendar, providing timely communication between relevant departments ensuring all parties are informed of progress and problems
  • Monitor current workflow processes and inputting ideas on how to improve current practices where required
  • Create detailed project plans, schedules and manage deadlines for key deliverables of a project
  • Distribute assignments with the creative team and other departments, depending on their availability and priorities
  • Uphold and implement the current monthly project timeline cycle in support of all department deadlines from shoot dates through to key deadlines and live dates
  • Meet with stakeholders to learn more about new project details and give progress updates on existing projects, communicating any issues with the team
  • Schedule and conduct a range of WIP meetings to go over items/tasks due for the day/week and determine if there are any roadblocks with stakeholders across different teams both daily and weekly
  • Demonstrate skills in resource management for post-production of both motion and stills, leveraging a vast network of freelance contacts and suppliers, whist overseeing project deliverables
  • Project management of seasonal packaging for key brand moments from initial brief through to final print
  • Consistent review and refinement of processes and workflows across both Marketing and VM departments across print and digital outputs
  • Uphold timelines for all creative resources across the website and digital channels, from copy and design to development and testing in Figma
  • Develop and maintain project plans with community partners on co-branded creative and marketing comms
  • Maintain and update Marketing and VM Monday.com boards and host WIP meetings to support day-to-day workload to converging deadlines
  • Define and implement post-production plans with internal and external resources on motion creative outputs
  • Support with monthly meetings with finance to ensure Marketing activity is kept on budget
  • Sign off and co-ordinate creative invoices and expenses and liaise with accounts
  • Reconcile Flexi Purchase transactions & shoot costs and log on the budget tracker
  • Assist marketing team to ensure end of financial year budget is met.
