REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Proven experience in marketing research, data analysis, or related roles, with a focus on e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces.

  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or similar systems.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and extract meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively, and also the ability to speak confidently directly with consumers.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, while also capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic business environment.
  • Passion for innovation and a desire to stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices in e-commerce marketing.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Marketing Research Specialist with a keen understanding of e-commerce dynamics to join our team. As a Marketing Research Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market research, analyzing trends, interacting with both existing and prospective customers, and providing insights to enhance our e-commerce strategies. The ideal candidate should possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, a trustworthy customer-facing presence, and a passion for staying ahead in the dynamic e-commerce landscape.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, consumer behaviors, and competitive landscapes in the industry.

  • Analyze market data, including sales figures, website traffic, and customer engagement metrics, to derive actionable insights for optimizing marketing strategies.

  • Conduct surveys and leverage other market data to contact churned customers, find out why they didn’t return, and work on ways to get them to re-engage.
  • Utilize various channels to identify and prospect potential new customer leads, including online research, cold calling, networking, and social media.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns and promotional activities tailored to the e-commerce environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing initiatives, leveraging analytics tools and metrics to measure effectiveness and ROI.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, technological advancements, and best practices in e-commerce marketing to recommend innovative approaches and tactics.
  • Assist in the development of consumer personas, segmentation strategies, and customer journey mapping to enhance the overall e-commerce experience.
  • Support the creation of compelling content, product descriptions, and messaging strategies optimized for online platforms and digital channels.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and partners to execute marketing campaigns and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of marketing processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness in e-commerce operations.
