QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
  • Proven 5 years of experience in marketing roles with a focus on content creation, social media management, advertising, and marketing intelligence. Marketing agency and B2B marketing experience is considered an asset.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail, with the ability to align with the Ballad brand.
  • Excellent design acumen including proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Canva and other design tools.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • A natural curiosity to bring forward new ideas, and industry best practices and be ready to implement them.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in marketing data analysis and interpretation to drive informed decision-making.
  • Natural storyteller, with a proven portfolio of work.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Utilize the Ballad brand guide to develop engaging, informative content that resonates with Ballad’s target audience, including copy, images and video. Drive content marketing campaigns from idea to execution, creating content on your own and leveraging partners as needed. Content will generate new leads, achieve our program recruitment targets and support our regional and national growth targets.
  • Social Media Management: Lead and execute the day-to-day social media multi-platform strategy and content calendar (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn) to drive engagement and achieve growth targets. Coordinate with external graphic designers when required to ensure regular social media posts across various platforms, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Advertising and Media Buying: Coordinate media buying to promote workforce development program recruitment, lead all advertising campaigns with respective contractors and staff, and monitor affiliated budgets.
  • Marketing Planning: Work closely with the Senior Manager of Impact and the Director of Operations & Strategy to develop strategic marketing initiatives and targets that drive growth and brand elevation.
  • Marketing Analytics: Establish, collect and report on key performance metrics and analyze them to find areas of improvement, optimization and value for Ballad’s target audience.
  • Event Management: Support with internal event coordination, and identify opportunities for external event participation.
  • Public Relations: Support with the identification of public relation opportunities, and develop content as required to support Ballad’s media and brand awareness targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with internal teams across different functions to integrate marketing efforts into overall business objectives and ensure alignment.
  • Project Management: Lead and/or contribute to marketing projects, ensuring timely execution and successful delivery within budget constraints.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, including graphic designers, marketing agencies, and other vendors, to support marketing activities effectively.
