Our venues include the Lady Banks Rooftop Bar and the Basement Brewhouse, along with diverse food offerings across Italian, Asian, and middle eastern cuisines, just to name a few. The Group operates six clubs as well as a state of the art 600 seat theatre, a large Grand Ballroom and an extensive range of facilities to host events of all kinds along with a commercial office tower.
About the Role
We are seeking a versatile and proactive Marketing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude to a wide range of marketing tasks and contribute to our marketing efforts with creativity and efficiency.
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the planning and implementation of campaigns, activities, activations, and events that enhance the customer experience within the Bankstown Sports Group (BSC and associated venues). This role focuses on the ideation and execution of memorable experiences and activities that ensure our members and guests keep coming back.
- This is a Parental leave cover contract, initially for a 12-month period.
Responsibilities included
- Support the Group Marketing Manager in implementing various entertainment and event-related marketing activities, including bookings, coordination, internal communications, and analysis as needed.
- Support the execution of major marketing campaigns and activations.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan and book activities and events in alignment with budget, venue objectives, and current trends.
- Plan, implement, and communicate weekly activities across all venues, such as community events, games, and other recurring activities.
- Assist in optimising marketing opportunities for specific venue attractions, particularly during peak times like school holidays.
- Plan and implement marketing strategies for live sports events, working closely with venue managers as needed.
- Manage key marketing collateral, ensuring campaigns and informational materials are created and distributed on time with accurate information.
- Assist with ticketing processes, including putting shows on sale, updating templates, and reporting.
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in marketing or agency role.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Interest or experience in hospitality, events, entertainment, and customer experience is beneficial.
- A marketing all-rounder with a positive attitude to any task.
- Strong ability to focus on key deliverables.
- Task-oriented with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
- Team player with good time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- RSA & RCG Competencies (or willing to obtain).
