ROLE OVERVIEW

Are you looking for an exciting role focusing on marketing and communications in an international company?
Sperry Marine is looking for an ambitious, driven and energetic Marketing Specialist with marketing and communications experience who can help us expand the knowledge of our products and be part of driving our growth worldwide.
As our new team member, you will become part of the Marketing Team responsible for Sperry Marine’s marketing strategy, including communications, branding and event management. The team consist of 3 people togehter with the Product Management team of 5 people that join forces in the location of New Malden, UK and Hamburg, Germany. It is embedded in a Products and Systems Business Unit. Flat Hierarchy and short communication enable cross functional efficiency managing Sperry Marines Product Portfolio.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

We are a small team with big ideas, therefore with this role, you get the opportunity to experience all areas of Marketing, Communications and Branding.
If you enjoy playing with words, even when it gets technical, to write compelling stories, then you might just be the one we are looking for.
You will contribute to developing and delivering engaging content across our platforms and relevant media for different stakeholders such as potential & existing customers, distributors, and collaborators. Editing and writing company materials will play a huge role in your duties. Additionally, you will get to do different marketing related tasks – including both tactical and operational ones.
You will be reporting to the Head of Marketing & Product Management but work closely with our Communications Lead, our Product Line Managers and our Business Development team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinating the development of advertising / marketing communications materials by creative design and creative writing services to effectively represent the products, services and brand to customers and prospects.
• Applying various communication strategies to create an impression, raise awareness, and encourage a preference and response by the target audience for Sperry Marine and its products and services.
• Developing and coordinating multimedia package (letters, brochures, videos,…)
• Undertaking competitor research and analyses, including market trends, competitor offerings and product specifications.
• Organizing events such as exhibitions and conferences by collaborating with suppliers, preparing presentations, making travel and accommodation arrangements.
• Providing ad hoc support to the Sales & Marketing Department and our distributors worldwide.
