Saskatoon Co-op invites applications for the NEW position of Marketing Specialist in the Marketing and Communications Department at our Administration Building in Saskatoon, SK.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist helps facilitate the execution of Saskatoon Co-op’s commodity level and CRS wide marketing programs. This role will work within each of our commodities to coordinate deliverables for the annual strategic plans for commodity-level marketing programs (Food, Pharmacy, Liquor, Consumer Fuels, HABS, Ag & Bulk Fuel). The Marketing Specialist supports initiatives across Saskatoon Co-op, which includes developing content, creating marketing collateral, assisting in events & activations, executing paid digital campaigns, collecting & gathering data to make informed marketing decisions, and creating post campaign-analysis presentations and reports. The Marketing Specialist will contribute to development and execution of marketing campaigns, expansion events, and brand partnership activations, within the parameters of the Manager approved plan. Key responsibilities include the following:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate Degree in Marketing
- Minimum 2+ Years’ of Marketing Experience (Digital, Traditional media, print, agency, project co-ordination, Social Media, Analytical Platforms, etc.)
- Strong communication skills to develop messages for a diverse group of audiences. Strength in visual communications, helping to draw in target audiences through compelling and conversion-focused creatives and copy. Ability to balance priorities through project coordination & time-management skills. Strong interpersonal skills to support a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assists in the execution of marketing campaigns
- Creating social media and email marketing content, including copywriting and visual design components
- Coordinating billboards, print ads, roadside signs, and experiential marketing
- Developing website content and ads for search engine optimization, and providing support in e-commerce initiatives
- Coordinating video production for campaigns
- Assist with organizing events and partnership activations
- Assist with the development of campaign budgets for areas of responsibility in coordination with the Marketing Manager.
- Assist in evaluating and measuring progress and performance against goals and outcomes
