Position Summary:
The Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for implementing the organic social media strategy, content marketing execution and community management while improving brand awareness and fostering consumer engagement and loyalty.
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, have attention to detail and awareness of brand voice and customer empathy. A mindset and ability to collaborate effectively across multiple brands and alongside internal creative and digital teams will be key. A willingness to leverage existing process while implementing new best practices is necessary. This role is hybrid (onsite in Fond du Lac, WI 2-3 days a week)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related course of study
  • 5-6 years of relevant professional experience including social media management and developing and executing a social media strategy
  • Intermediate level of experience creating engaging content for social media including Reels, Stories, YouTube shorts
  • Intermediate level of experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite
  • Intermediate level of experience with influencer management as well as management tools such as Klear
  • Intermediate skill level with a design tool such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
  • Proven track record of organizational skills and management across multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success translating visual brand identity to social media
  • Passion for learning and remaining current on all forms of social media including emerging channels such as TikTok
  • Excellent copywriting skills and ability to develop on-brand copy with strong attention to detail
  • Have a passion and desire to engage on social media in real-time
  • A passion for content creation that resonates and is personalized to target audiences
  • Ability to support community management across dedicated brands
  • Intermediate level of experience with MS Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • SEO experience desired, but not required
  • Experience working in a project management program desired, but not required
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team environment within a matrix organization

    Brunswick Corporation - Mercury Marin

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with brand marketing and shared teams to create and manage a content calendar inclusive of organic social media posts, blog content and influencer integrations
  • Manage organic social platforms across our three brands – Mercury Marine, Mercury Racing and Quicksilver Products – on channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Ownership of social media playbook, including an annual audit of channel performance, brand strategy inclusive of goals, KPIs and best practices
  • Work with brand marketing to curate content and drive awareness of owner’s channels and mobile applications as well as forum management
  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of digital marketing and community management
  • Explore new channel opportunities with test and learn strategies to ensure brands are staying relevant on social media
  • Take part in creating monthly blog topics, ensuring content is timely, engaging, and aligned to brand goals, assisting in process from concept through execution
  • Lead content opportunities by identifying cross-brand synergies and communicating with industry partners
  • Strategize cross-functionally with digital marketing and creative services on planning, execution and performance of key product launches and campaigns
  • Analyze social data to support strategic and executional recommendations & provide monthly reporting, detailing engagement rate, reach, followers, likes, comments, etc.
  • Report on KPIs and goals during post campaign and product launch timeframes
  • Organize and aid in producing content with special guests, influencers, and industry partners
  • Executes against brand influencer strategy, identifying and working with key influencers to drive growth
  • Actively engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner to foster a positive community atmosphere
  • Connect consumers with our product support team in Service when needed
  • Monitor Social Outlook inbox for influencer requests, product questions, and other inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned
