Description:

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Recognized subject matter expert in master data management obtained through advanced education and work experience
  • Experience in setting up and managing data policies, data definitions, data quality standards and KPIs
  • Manages projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to solve difficult and complex problems
  • General knowledge of freight forwarding business required
  • Knowledge of Products (Ocean Freight, Air Freight and Value Added Services), Marketing and Sales and/or Finance required
  • Advanced experience in data modeling, process modeling, data flow modeling and business requirements definitions
  • Proactively identifies and resolves problems and risks—we need someone who can foresee and get ahead of burning topics
  • Proven track record in master data related problem analysis and solving
  • Expertise in technical writing (process maps, RACI charts, standards, guidelines etc.)
  • Strengths includes but are not limited to:
  • Strong Analytical Skills - understand business process and IT system landscape and downstream impact of changes
  • Moderate Project Management Skills - develop project plans and track delivery
  • Strong Process Management Skills - Develop Governance & Maintenance Model for data objects & implementation
  • Strong Change Management skills - implement changes of the data governance model, provide guidance during implementation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in WiseTech CargoWise, Infor S21 and/or Salesforce is an advantage
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
  • More than 6 years relevant experience preferably in IT and forwarding logisticPreferably supervisory or team lead experience

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

Develop and implement Master Data Management strategy, plans, programs and processes to ensure efficient processes and consistent data flows to business and stakeholders.

JOB TASKS

  • Develop and drive end-to-end master data processes and flows and implement master data management solutions
  • Deploy best practices to collect, analyse and report management data to support decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues
  • Draft plans and execute to collate, model, interpret and analyse master data
  • Analyse extensively and explain variances and trends
  • Ensures master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality
  • Develop and implement procedures of data standards and guidelines on data ownership, coding structures, and data replication to ensure access to and integrity of data sets
  • Drives process automation wherever possible
  • Ensures proper documentation, robust maintenance processes, and advanced quality controls are in place
  • Collaborate with regional and local data stewards to ensure jointly day to day administration of master data
  • Collaborate with business initiatives, projects and IT product owners in order to ensure master data quality across the organisation
  • Analyse and implement data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused data, or duplicate data for better management and quicker access
  • Researches, coordinates and installs software releases and database integration to ensure
  • Develops and implements plans to translate business requirements and models into feasible and acceptable data warehouse designs to ensure that business needs are met
  • Provides data consulting in support of business and information technology initiatives to improve data management systems.
  • Align and drive the implementation of the information architecture domain strategies with GSC teams
  • Develop and implement change management plans to communicate and promote information architecture and to assist individual contributors and stakeholders with their understanding of the new requirements and potential impact
  • Ensure data repository content with integrity (quality, one fact one place, version, content life cycle, access)
