Materials Controller

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Basic IT Literacy
• Counterbalance and Reach Forklift truck license preferred but not essential (FLT Training will be provided if required)
• Previous stores/stock control knowledge advantageous
• A good awareness of document control
• Experience gained within a manufacturing environment

• Receive goods from suppliers, checking parts against paperwork supplied and ensuring delivery integrity.
• Daily use of software to control materials movement.
• Physical movements of stock to and from stores.
• Use of Counterbalance and Reach forklift truck to aid the storage of materials.
• Picking, kitting and supply materials to works orders / sales orders including replenishment of Kanban systems off site.
• Control of dispatching of goods from stores, working with Logistics.
• Control and collection of incoming documentation from delivered materials. C of C’s, materials certifications.
• Perform stock checks and periodic audits within stores to ensure stock levels are correct.
• Conduct regular communications with Heads of Departments when required and escalate any concerns as they arise.
• Conduct all activities to the companies Health and Safety policies and escalate any safety concerns found immediately.
• Deal with local concerns where possible and escalate where local control has failed.
