Job Description: Materials Engineer (Laser Powder Bed Fusion)
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced materials engineer (m/f/d) to join our team at Siemens Energy. This position is based in Worcester, with the possibility of a one-year delegation to a Siemens Energy development partner in Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) technology. The primary focus of this role is the development and implementation of L-PBF for processing titanium and aluminum alloys, both for Siemens Energy applications and for our external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Defining, planning, leading, and executing R&D projects as part of the technology development strategy.
- Managing Siemens Energy’s R&D L-PBF programs within strategic technology development partnerships, both internal and external.
- Providing support to Siemens Energy’s external businesses.
- Acting as the interface between Siemens Energy and internal counterparts on R&D projects.
- Regularly reporting project status to Siemens Energy management
