Qualifications/Experience Required

Responsibilities:
POSITION ROLE TYPE:
Onsite
Collins Aerospace is looking for a Materials Laboratory Technician who will perform analysis, research and development of materials and processing engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for products design, or operations of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and equipment designs. You will also do analysis of damage tolerance, durability, design, allowable.
- Position is working onsite at our Troy, OH facility

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Incumbent’s responsibility will generally focus on Materials Engineering, Chemical Processing, and Surface Engineering.
- Support internal manufacturing operations in special processing by laboratory testing, process troubleshooting, training, process development and qualification.
- Support Global Collins Supply Chain by conducting Process Troubleshooting.
- Support Research and Development by conducting Testing in support of Technology projects.
- Perform Failure Analysis, prepare and review failure reports.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary problem-solving teams using RRCA techniques.
- Support product and process improvements.
- Prepare, review and approve engineering procedures and specifications.
- Other duties as prescribed by the organization
