Materials Management Supervisor, Second Shift, Materials Distribution Department
UC Health is hiring a full -time Materials Management Supervisor for the Materials Distribution department for the second shift at West Chester Hospital.
The Materials Management Supervisor will support West Chester Hospital’s emergency room (ER) and Level III Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Business Related coursework preferred.
• 3 - 5 Years equivalent experience required; 6 - 10 Years equivalent experience preferred.
• This position requires 3-5 years of previous materials supply experience with in a Clinical setting is preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience is necessary. Some post-secondary training and education is preferred.
• Knowledge of JCAHO requirements, Par x and Lawson is required for effective performance in this position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the daily supervision of assigned staff and area to ensure accurate ordering and inventory of medical supplies and materials.

• Directs, coordinates, and audits the activities of the assigned materials and supply staff.
• Hires, trains, and prepares work schedules necessary to meet department requirements.
• Oversees the procurement, processing, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment essential to nursing care, diagnostic procedures, and other patient care areas for assigned shift.
• Responsible for inventory management and ensuring the proper record keeping for supplies and material utilization.

• Develops and implements long and short range plans for the assigned shift and department in order to provide quality, efficiency and service to departments in the most cost effective manner possible.Ensures that operations and staff on assigned shift meet the required JCAHO and other regulatory agency requirements.
