Materials Planner

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Materials Planning Specialist to join our team and ensure seamless operations at our factories. As a Materials planner, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the availability of components by overseeing operational purchasing activities. From monitoring purchase requisitions to executing purchase orders, you will ensure timely deliveries to our factories while optimizing stock levels and enhancing supplier performance. Your responsibilities will also include responding to inquiries about delivery times, handling claims with suppliers, and collaborating with various stakeholders across our global network.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the availability of materials by managing accuracy, delivery timing, quantity, and stock levels.
• Optimize stock levels.
• Address routine internal and customer inquiries regarding delivery times and shipment statuses.
• Handle claims with suppliers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Monitor and analyze supplier performance to enhance organizational efficiency.

Our ideal candidate will have a relevant bachelor’s degree in business or technology, some experience in the purchasing process, and the ability and willingness to work collaboratively. Fluency in professional English is a prerequisite for successful collaboration: The main location of the position is Rauma in Finland, but regular contacts with all Oras Group units and suppliers all over the world are necessary. Additionally, German/Finnish/Polish language skills are an advantage in the position. To be successful in the position you can manage your own performance effectively.
