Description:

There is an exciting opportunity for an existing band 7 or a senior band 6 to join our fantastic “Site Managers” team at EGA UCLH. This opportunity will give you a chance to utilise your, excellent clinical expertise, management and communication skills to support the maternity unit promoting efficient client flow, with safety being paramount.
This position serves as the central facilitator and coordinator across all clinical domains of Maternity and Neonates within the EGA wing. The purpose of the role is to enhance safety, communication, patient flow and staff management processes across the services. The successful post holder will serve as a point of integration to remove barriers to safety and operational performance. The post holder is responsible for the daily bed management and other key service handover meetings and facilitating discharge flow. A critical aspect of this role involves ensuring that women receive appropriate care tailored to their clinical needs, with prompt escalation if safety standards are compromised. This role acts as a quality assurance point including accurate data collection for MIS.
They will be the focal point for MAJAX escalations and managing internal incidents including security and fire. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring operational daily OPEL reports are not only completed but effectively communicated and handed over to staff throughout the service.
