THE POST HOLDER WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

To lead the immunisation service in the implementation of Welsh Government and Public Health Wales’ initiatives and National Policies, such as the National Immunisation Framework.
Lead in the development of immunisation plans to reduce inequalities in immunisation uptake rates across the Health Board.
To ensure there is a robust system in place for information on un-immunised children and adults in order for key health professionals to prioritise their follow up in order to reduce the risk of an outbreak of a vaccine preventable disease;
To lead and work with key stakeholders to identify and assess the impact vaccine hesitancy may have on uptake rates across the Health Board;
Ensure all Quality Improvement work is evidence based, and includes national and international examples of best practice;
Lead and develop relevant training programmes as necessary to support the implementation of new immunisation programmes to ensure a highly skilled and resilient workforce, ensuring training is consistent with the National Minimum training standards for immunisations;
Providing visible leadership, engagement, motivation, empowerment, development and support for staff who are involved with the immunisation services;
