Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior nurse to join the Medicine, Urgent Care Division at Stockport Foundation Trust within the role of substantive Matron in order to support the senior nursing team in ensuring high quality care continues to be delivered.
You will be a highly visible leader, able to evidence how you have positively influenced nursing and patient care in current and previous roles.
You will be working with a dynamic, busy and friendly nursing team within the Division of Medicine, Clinical Support & Emergency Department that includes diabetes, stroke, complex medicine, care of the elderly, pharmacy and the outpatient services. This is an opportunity to display your leadership skills within a diverse population of patients receiving care from engaged and motivated teams
If you have extensive experience in a nursing leadership role, and have an exceptional track record of leading teams, then we would like you to be part of our team, championing the patient experience and developing services within our vibrant Medicine Division.

You should be passionate about nursing and want to make a difference and will be value driven and place them central to all service provision. You will be an experienced senior nurse with experience at matron level desirable but not essential, who has also held previous senior leadership roles and have a proven record of delivering high quality care for patients to enhance service users’ experience and promote positive health outcomes.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, clear decision making capabilities, be a vocal advocate for the patient and have current knowledge and expertise in the care of patients in medical context.
