Reporting to the Project Manager and Project Engineer, the Means and Methods Engineer is responsible for ensuring the adherence to organizational and accepted industry techniques, procedures, and materials used during the construction process.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing work plans for upcoming construction activities in conjunction with the construction teams;
  • Preparing and reviewing various documents, including civil and environmental reports, recommendations, technical memoranda and technical specifications;
  • Assisting in the development or review of temporary works;
  • Liaising with subcontractors and other departments to ascertain and evaluate alternatives and incorporate technical requirements;
  • Reviewing the engineer’s construction cost estimates;
  • Reviewing work carried out by multi-disciplinary consultants and contractors;
  • Conducting periodical field reviews of construction activities, and reporting any non-compliance;
  • Supporting the Project Management team and Project Engineer(s) with requests, as needed;
  • Other duties as assigned.
