Your Job Purpose:
As a Mechanical Commissioning Technician working with the LotusWorks team, you will join our client site in the Semiconductor sector. This job is based in a cutting-edge facility in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.
You will be responsible for both decommissioning and commissioning of facilities equipment on both utility and process systems. These systems include, but are not limited to AHU’s, Chillers, Boilers, Compressed Air, Scrubbed Exhaust, General Exhaust, Water Treatment and Industrial Waste Systems.

Your Job Description:

  • Working as a Mechanical Technician in support of a wider multidisciplinary team of skilled Technicians supporting both decommissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Generation and execution of documentation to support decommissioning activities on live systems in line with site procedures.
  • Generation and execution of commissioning documentation such as OAT’s and FAT’s (Operational and Functional Acceptance Tests).
  • Work with operations and engineering teams to develop testing protocols and start-up procedure.
  • Carry out QA/QC walks of mechanical systems and equipment and Identify punch list items and rectify prior to start-up.
  • Commissioning mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, motors, compressors, boilers, chillers and air handlers.
  • Maintain all documentation in an organised and controlled manner, in compliance with client procedures.
  • Attend daily meeting and provide status updates.
  • Have excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills, which above all, pose no risk to health and secondly provide no potential risk to any systems.
  • Demonstrate ownership and show initiative to resolve issues in a timely manner in a high paced, schedule driven environment.

Job Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will have time served mechanical trades experience or have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience.
  • Ideally at least 4 years industry experience with a maintenance background.
  • Must have a working knowledge of industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems and equipment including fans and pumps, and be knowledgeable in the operation of such systems.
  • An ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Literacy in Computer Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc.
  • Possess excellent communication/documentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and accountability.
