Position: Mechanical Construction Manager

Job Description
As a Mechanical Construction Manager, you will be pivotal to overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion. You will review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs, while overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to successfully deliver cutting edge projects
 Ability to determine project schedule needs, provide support in the completion of project schedule, 12 weeks look aheads, reporting on site progress and highlighting future issues / roadblocks to progress to Main Contractor / Companies contracts manager.
 Conduct regular safety walks of the site and report to site supervisor for closure.
 Conduct regular quality walks of the site and report to site supervisor for closure.
 Lead commissioning activities ensuring timely completion and reporting of roadblock and follow up to ensure prompt closure.

Skills and Requirements

• Mechanical trade or Engineering background essential
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Excellent communication and organisation skills required
• Familiarity with CAD & BIM preferred (Autocad, Revit, Navisworks).
• Excellent IT skills required – MS Office/Excel
• A knowledge of database systems such as filemaker would be advantageous
